POSITION
Senior Vice President/General Manager

COMPANY
Our client is the nation's leading provider of diagnostic medical imaging services with over 20 years of industry experience. The Company provides comprehensive turnkey solutions to hospitals and other health providers for MRI, PET, PET/CT, CT and Radiation Oncology. The Company partners with hospitals and healthcare providers for Fixed Site Imaging Centers , Shared Mobile Services , and Cancer Services with a focus on Radiation Therapy. The Company is looking for a seasoned professional knowledgeable of Heath Systems and Hospitals with solid general management & sales leadership experience capable of cultivating profitable partnerships and driving results. The Company is well positioned for sustained growth, and has high expectations for increased revenue generation through expansion, enhanced market penetration, and greater efficiencies of their sales and service operations.

REPORTING
The position reports to Chief Operating Officer.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The role is responsible for general management of 12-15 person team. Management responsibility for, HR, operations, logistics, customer service, business development and sales.

EDUCATION
An undergraduate degree is required. An MBA is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Vice President Central Region will be responsible for:

  • The scope of the role is general management with responsibility for P/L and revenue contribution and is focused on providing the strategic planning, tactical execution and operational leadership to ensure the growth and profitability of the Southeast Region. The Senior Vice President is expected to cultivate relationships with key Health Systems and Hospital executives and effect partnerships that drive market expansion and profitability. They will be expected to provide the leadership, customer service, sales process, and training essential to increase market penetration and service usage. The SVP is expected to implement effective metrics and reporting mechanisms for the entire Southeast Region that drive top and bottom line contributions.
  • Cultivate a culture that challenges and empowers employees to plan effectively and to be accountable for driving growth and profitability. Implement a structure and management process that emphasizes professional development and performance at all levels.
  • Lead, develop and retain a high performance team driving relentless focus on the core activities of profitable growth and market expansion. Provide strategic and tactical direction to the sales organization.
  • Developing a strategic sales plan that emphasizes business planning and for implementing a reporting structure focused on process and accountability that drives growth and profitability in each market segment.
  • Develop a sales support and customer service training program focused on leveraging existing and new hospital based users as a means to increase scans, expand adoption and increase sales.
  • Maintaining and distributing updated new business opportunities and forecasts for major market groups by Local Area Team (LAT), region, and channel.
  • Rationalize sales plans and approaches and develop the most effective sales process for each market and LAT.
  • Achieve sales and other appropriate financial measures, including sales targets within user/market segments within each reporting period.
  • Establish and manage appropriate metrics by services to ensure on-course progression.
  • Conduct field visits with sales managers and operations managers with appropriate action plans and follow up quarterly. Spends approximately 60% of time in the field with operations and sales personnel.
  • Works closely with operations to develop new services, and concepts for sales and marketing programs.
  • Develop plans to ensure successful introduction of new services and broader adaptation of existing services across all market.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should posses the following abilities and attributes:

  • A minimum of five years of P/L experience within a healthcare services environment with experience managing multiple people in multiple functional areas in addition to sales. Strong preference for experience selling healthcare services and/or diagnostic/therapeutic services.
  • Sophisticated strategic planning and sales process skills and the leadership to positively effect change and drive growth.
  • A track record of success expanding market penetration and increasing sales and market share, and the demonstrated ability to train, direct, and develop reps.
  • Must be very computer literate and experienced with CRM.
  • Must have good analytical skills and be experienced at making decisions based on data and analysis.
  • The preferred candidate will have experience in varying business environments and markets, and must be comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment where resources come from incremental growth.
  • Candidate’s experience must include business and market development, new product introductions and market expansion initiatives.

  • The company is seeking an individual who can develop strategic sales plans that emphasize business planning and accountability and implement the mechanism, processes, metrics and reporting structure that will drive sales growth.
  • Candidate must be able to identify business and market opportunities and be capable of preparing new product introductions and of managing and leveraging broader product offerings.

COMPENSATION
The complete package will include a competitive base salary, highly attractive bonus and benefits program. This position can be based in Atlanta or North Carolina.
